What is The Dwelling Place?
The Dwelling Place is a restreat, prayer, and small conference center in east-central Mississippi that offers opportunities for individuals, couples, and small groups to experience Christ in a secluded setting that is conducive to spiritual contemplation and renewal. More than anything else, The Dwelling Place receives requests from people who simply want to “get away” to be still and to pray. We invite you to come, utilize our Guest House as a resource for your group, or enjoy the solitude of one of our cottages for yourself…experience God’s healing presence.

Our Mission
Our mission at The Dwelling Place is to provide a peaceful, distraction-free refuge in which idividuals and/or small groups can experience the presence of God through prayer, Bible study, or counseling for spiritual growth or finding their way through life’s difficult circumstances.

The Grounds and Property
The facilities at The Dwelling Place can accomodate individuals, couples, or a small group. Individuals or couples can request lodging in one of three cottages. The Guest House can accomodate a small group of up to 12 people. the Cottages and the Guest House offer air-conditioning, private bathrooms and dressing areas, sleeping, living, and kitchen/dining areas. Sheltered areas near our pond are among the many outdoor spaces that can be used for quiet time, personal prayer, and reflection. The Cottages and Guest House are surrounded by 17 acres of pine-studed land in a rural setting that is secluded, yet easily accessible to main highways. In addition to lodging facilities, The Dwelling Place offers a dining hall, a small chapel for indoor worship, and a library that is accessible to our guests.
The Cottages
Individuals and couples can stay in one of three of our Cottages that are located on the backside of The Dwelling Place grounds, separated from the rest of the facility, thus offering more privacy and seclusion.
The Guest House
The Guest House accomodates small groups, is fully air-conditioned, and includes:
- Four Bedrooms, each with 3 beds and a private bathroom
- A spacious living room for meetings or other group activites
- A fully-equipped kitchen and dining area
- Large front and back porches with outdoor seeting
